Abstract

In order to facilitate the construction of smart ports in the future, this study examines the current port system in Korea, and promotes smart ports under the awareness of the need for basic research to diagnose the direction for smoother policy introduction and technology introduction. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, the research results that reviewed various previous studies, examined port-related news articles, reports from the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, and foreign literature, and presented the researcher's own suggestions are summarized as follows. First of all, the problems of Korea's smart port promotion were the lack of supply and demand of informatized manpower, the ambiguity of planning, the management of a lazy budget, and the lack of willingness of smart port stakeholders. Accordingly, This study draws conclusions as follows. First, it is necessary to secure informatization manpower with digital literacy for the new era. Second, it is necessary to design and link the platform from the perspective of SCM. Third, consumer-centered process innovation is needed. This process innovation through the introduction of GIS (Geographic Information System). Finally, there is a need to establish a smart port logistics culture and ethics.
