dc.description.abstract The object of this paper is to reduce dew generation on the general double door refrigerator. On the refrigerator, there is gasket around door which has magnet. It helps door to adhere on the body, but thickness of magnet is too thin to adhere tightly. So cold air leaks from the refrigerator and it cause dew generation on the flange that is middle of the body. When the temperature of humid air is dropping to the dew point, dew is generated on the flange. The leaked cold air from inside of the refrigerator meets outside air relatively warm, temperature of outside air is descending. After then, the temperature of surrounding air is approach to dew point and dew is generated on the flange. Flange is composed with steel plate, ABS, PU-foam for insulation and hot-line. Mainly, dew is generated at bottom of the steel plate. Currently, there is 35℃ refrigerant flow into the hot-line to maintain the high temperature at bottom of steel plate. To reduce the dew generation at the bottom of the steel plate, heat of hot-line sufficiently delivery to bottom of steel plate. To increase the temperature at the steel plate of flange hot-line should be contacted with the steel plate. In this paper, the effects of hot-line shape and location, and spacer of inner case are investigated. To increase the heat transfer from hot-line to steel plate of flange, the near shape of inner case(ABS) in flange region are suggested to insure the contact between hot-line and steel plate. -
