dc.description.abstract ABSTRACT March 26 2010 Cheon An warship(PCC-772) was sunk at 2.5km away south from Baengnyeong-do. Unfortunately, 46 ROK navy were died. So Korea government established combined union investigation committee(civilian with army) to investigate the accident. after 54 days, combined union investigation committee announced result : Cheon An(PCC-772) was sunk by torpedo from North Korea. Torpedo has been developed for a strategic, deadly, and cost-affective weapon. Even now it's being advanced. Large number of North Korea submarines and torpedoes would be very big threat to ROK navy. So it's very important to make measure for response to the provocative threats of North Korea. And we need to get accurate informations and details about weapons or their operational strategies. For that reason, this paper will deal with vision for development of torpedo and anti-torpedo strategies. -
