Abstract

Automobile is one of the symbols for modern industrial civilization, and also an important engine to promote the economic development of a country

besides, the gradually accelerated industrialization process has aggravated the pollution situation. Therefore, the new energy automotive industry has a very important significance for China's economic development, from the perspective of the national strategy, developing new energy automotive industry can reduce our dependence on petroleum resources, while protecting our environment, maintaining sustainable economic development and also achieving rapid economic growth as well as the successful transformation of the industry. However, compared with the United States, Japan and European countries, the development period of new energy automotive industry in China is relatively short, thus there is plenty of space for China's new energy automotive industry to improve in the ranks of the international new energy automotive industry development.

In this paper, it aims to explore the status quo and problems existed in China’s new energy automobile development by adopting a variety of research methods based on above studies. First of all, it elaborates the concept of new energy vehicles and its development process, to summarize the current development of new energy automotive industry in our country. Secondly, it compares China with the United States, Japan, and countries in European based on the status quo of the new energy automotive industry in China, problems that existed in our new energy automotive industry development are discovered. Finally, corresponding countermeasures for China's new energy automotive industry development are put forward.

besides, the governments and car companies have widely recognized that energy-saving and emission reduction are the main directions of future development of automotive technology, so the development of new energy automotive industry will be the best way to solve this problem. In the late 20th century, the gradual depletion of global oil resources, and the increasingly serious of atmospheric environmental pollution have brought inevitable problems to the sustainable development of human society and economy. In recent years, with the progress of science and technology, the development and application of electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles and fuel cell electric vehicles with the ultimate goal of energy saving, environmental protection and safety has become the focus of automobile industry worldwide.
