Abstract

A Study on Response Strategy of FTA

between Korea and China.

Abstract

Recently, Korean export to China has been increasing rapidly. Now, China is the largest international trading market in northeast Asia. It is a major target market for exporters from many Asian countries including Korea. So China is currently the largest market for Korean exporters, and it is the country where Korean company's overseas expansions are most active. At the same time, China poses as a possible direct investor for the Korea's domestic market.

A Free Trade Agreement(FTA) which abolishes trade barriers, such as tariffs. FTA guarantees free movement of goods and economic growth through the creation of trade. So far, the establishment of FTA between Korea and China is under consideration. China is not only a new market

with an opportunity, also a competitor with a 'definite threat'.

In this situation, both countries pay close attention to establish FTA. In this study, we try to analyze Expected Effect, such as benefits and harms, of FTA between Korea and China. Then formulate most comprehensive and effective strategy of FTA between Korea and China.
