Abstract

The type of Underwater photography equipment can be divided into three categories

One is to evaluate the present level of development in underwater photography equipment. The other is to understand customer satisfaction and the user patterns of underwater photography equipment.

The results of this research will help both active and would-be underwater photographer to choose appropriate equipment. Also, distributers of underwater photography equipment will be able to obtain useful information regarding customer‘s needs, and two bring up the idea how to improve sales, repair and quality control of the equipments.

For this research 250 scuba divers who have underwater photography equipment and 350 divers, who have never experienced but have interest in underwater photography answered the questionnaire. To analyze the results of population, SPSS 12.0 statistics program was used.

The result showed that most of the scuba divers had remarkably high interest in underwater photography. At the same time, it was revealed that the choice of the underwater photography equipment strongly depended on the camera angles the photographers like to take.

Therefore it can be concluded that the digital camera housing system which provids the highest overall satisfaction is expected to form a mainstream in future underwater photography equipment market.
