Abstract

The importance of news media has been increasing as the peoples' power has been enhanced. The news media plays the role of influencing government policy as well as that of passing along what's going on. Busan Port Authority launched big development projects such as Old Port Redevelopment and Busan New Port has been spotlighted by local news media. This study, therefore, aimed at analysing the influence of a local news paper on the port policy of Busan Port Authority, particularly with respect to the Old Port Redevelopment Project. For this questionnaire survey has been conducted, the data analysed statistically and the results and implication are presented.
