Abstract
Modern corporations aim to maximize not only shareholders’ wealth, but also stakeholders’. This strategy is reflected in the concept of sustainable management. There has been a growing recognition of the concept in the business world and the logistics warehousing industry is not exempt from the trend because successful sustainable management requires cooperation between the participants of the whole supply chain.



Since the concept of sustainable management was introduced in 1980 as a part of the World Health Strategy, there have been many corporate social activities in the developed countries. Domestically, the concept gained its recognition in 2003. Since then, several major business scandals, such as accounting fraud in Enron, environment pollution of BP has fuelled the domestic companies to implement sustainable management strategies.

This paper reviews achievements of logistics warehousing industry in terms of sustainable management. The introduction part of the study discusses the theoretical definitions of sustainable management and sustainable development
1. Customer satisfaction is significantly positively correlated with economic and environment activities, but not related with social responsibility. This implies that customers to warehousing companies are less likely aware of corporate social responsibility.



2. The positive relationship between customer satisfaction and corporate trust suggests that implementing sustainable management enhances competitive edge of the corporation.



3. In conclusion, implementing sustainable management enhances not only competitive edge of individual company, but also that of the whole supply chain.
later part is a case study on sustainable management of in the industry.



Also, this paper includes an empirical study on the influence of sustainable management activities on the customer satisfaction and corporate trust through questionnaire survey.
