Globalization of the world economy has intensified competition among companies, and companies are introducing various strategies and management innovations to survive in the global market. Among them, SCM strategy is introduced by global companies since 1990 as a means of management innovation. This shows that various companies have achieved various achievements such as reduction of logistics cost, shortening of lead time, and improvement of customer satisfaction, and so on. Furthermore, "SCM management" has become a hot topic, and every company recognizes the importance of introducing SCM. As a core strategy for securing global competitiveness, every company is strengthening the introduction of SCM and focusing on building efficient SCM.
In the tire industry, the importance of SCM strategy is increasing day by day. Therefore, in this study, N-company's study, which requires establishment of new SCM strategy according to national distribution of production bases, verifies why SCM strategy is necessary for manufacturing companies to operate logistics centers in the harbor and adjacent hinterland . As a result of the research, it is found that the N company has improved productivity, increase of sales, reduced logistics cost, decrease of lead time of products, creating new trade volume and added value of logistics were created through new SCM strategy of port logistics center.
Although this study seems to be confined to the tire manufacturing sector, it is hoped that this study will be referred to as a CASE STUDY of various companies and various industries, considering that the national dispersion of production bases is a general trend for other companies and industries as well.
